Home electrification program launches in Asheville-Buncombe County (ABC) 

NCCEF and partners have launched the first program in NC focused on home electrification including a financing program from Self – Help Credit Union. NC Clean Energy Fund developed this loan with a reserve fund allocated by Buncombe County to be accessible to people with low or limited credit. The marketplace for the campaign, www.electrifyABC.com, is designed to be a one-stop-shop where participants can: 

• learn about HVAC systems, 

• find a contractor,  

• find out about the tax rebates and incentives available for energy efficiency measures,  

• and apply for financing if needed.
